Section 1 — Disclaimer: Purpose of the App

Neonatal Study Buddy is an AI-powered educational platform designed to support neonatal learning through practice questions, explanations, and case-based simulations. It is operated by Premie Insight, Inc., a New York corporation.

This App:

  • Does NOT provide medical advice

  • Must NOT be used to diagnose, treat, or manage patients

  • Does NOT create a clinician–patient relationship

  • Is intended solely for education and training purposes

Use of this App is at your own discretion and for learning purposes only. Users must independently verify any clinical information before applying it in real-world medical practice.

All cases, simulations, and explanations within this platform are educational simulations designed to support clinical reasoning practice. These scenarios do not represent real patients and must not be interpreted as clinical guidance or medical directives.

Nothing in this platform constitutes the practice of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, or any other licensed healthcare profession.

Premie Insight, Inc. expressly disclaims any liability for clinical decisions made in reliance on platform content.


Section 2 — Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 2026. This Privacy Policy describes how Premie Insight, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Neonatal Study Buddy (the "Platform").

2.1  Educational Platform & Patient Data

Neonatal Study Buddy is an educational learning platform. The Platform does not collect, store, or process patient health information (PHI) or identifiable clinical data.

Users must not enter patient information, medical record numbers, identifiable clinical cases, or any other protected health information into the Platform. Because the Platform is not designed or intended to receive PHI, it is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. Any PHI inadvertently submitted by a user is not treated as protected health information under HIPAA and will be handled as general user content subject to deletion upon notice.

2.2  Information We Do Not Collect

  • Protected Health Information (PHI) or real clinical data

  • Patient identifiers of any kind

  • Biometric data

  • Precise geolocation data

  • Government-issued identification numbers

2.3  Information We Collect

Account & Registration Information

  • Name and email address

  • Password (stored in hashed form; we never store plaintext passwords)

  • Subscription and payment metadata (processed by Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers)

Usage & Analytics Data

  • Device type, browser, and operating system (non-identifying)

  • Pages visited, features used, and session duration

  • Optional feedback submitted by users

  • Login session cookies and analytics cookies

AI Interaction Data

When you use the AI-powered features of this Platform, your inputs — including prompts, educational responses, follow-up questions, and interactions with AI learning modules — may be transmitted to a third-party large language model (LLM) provider to generate educational responses. These interactions may be logged by us or our LLM provider to improve platform quality, reliability, and educational performance. Please do not enter any personal, patient, or sensitive information into AI-powered features.


2.4  Third-Party Service Providers

We work with the following categories of third-party providers to operate the Platform:

  • Cloud infrastructure and hosting provider

  • Payment processing (Stripe — PCI-compliant; we do not store card numbers)

  • AI/LLM API provider (processes educational prompts to generate responses)

  • Analytics services (non-identifying usage data)

Each provider processes data only as necessary to provide their service and is subject to appropriate data protection obligations. Users whose inputs are submitted to the AI system should be aware that those inputs are transmitted to our LLM provider in accordance with that provider's applicable privacy policy.


2.5  How We Store & Protect Data

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)

  • Secure password hashing

  • NY SHIELD Act–compliant administrative and technical safeguards

  • Secure third-party cloud hosting infrastructure

  • PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting user data using industry-standard practices.


2.6  Organizational & Institutional Accounts

Some users may access Neonatal Study Buddy through an educational institution, training program, university, employer, or healthcare organization that has entered into a licensing arrangement with Premie Insight, Inc..

In these cases:

  • User accounts will be associated with the participating organization at registration; users will be informed of this association when creating their account

  • Limited educational usage analytics may be available to authorized program administrators

  • Such analytics are limited to training-related metrics only, including: learning activity metrics, module completion rates, topic performance trends, and educational engagement statistics

  • Organizations do not receive access to private AI conversations, personal login credentials, or billing information

If you are a student or trainee accessing the Platform through an institutional arrangement, please review your institution's own privacy policies, which may apply to your use of this Platform. Institutions participating in the Platform are responsible for ensuring their users comply with applicable privacy regulations, including FERPA where applicable to their organization.

2.7  Educational Analytics

The Platform may analyze learning activity data, including:

  • Topics studied and modules accessed

  • Responses to educational questions and correctness of answers

  • Time spent interacting with learning modules

  • Feature engagement patterns

This information is used to improve platform functionality, support educational development, and evaluate learning effectiveness. Aggregated or program-level analytics may be shared with participating educational institutions to support training oversight and curriculum development. Shared analytics do not include private AI conversations, personal billing information, or account credentials.

2.8  Data Retention

We retain personal account data for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Your Rights below). AI interaction logs are retained for up to 12 months for quality improvement purposes unless earlier deletion is requested. Payment metadata is retained as required by applicable financial regulations.

2.9  Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies for:

  • Maintaining login sessions (strictly necessary)

  • Platform functionality and preferences

  • Non-identifying usage analytics

You may control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling session cookies may affect Platform functionality.

2.10  International Users & Compliance

Neonatal Study Buddy is operated from the United States and is primarily intended for users in the United States and Canada. If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with applicable privacy laws, please note the following:

  • EU/UK users: We aim to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK-GDPR where applicable. Our legal basis for processing your data is primarily contractual necessity (to provide the Platform) and legitimate interest (to improve the Platform). You have the rights described in Section 2.11 below. Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States under appropriate legal mechanisms.

  • Canadian users: We aim to comply with PIPEDA where applicable.

  • U.S. state privacy laws: We aim to comply with applicable U.S. state-level privacy requirements.

If you have questions about cross-border data transfers or our compliance with your jurisdiction's privacy laws, please contact us at the address in Section 8.

2.11  Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data

  • Request deletion of your data (Right to Erasure / Right to be Forgotten)

  • Request a portable export of your data

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

  • Object to or restrict certain processing

Section 3 — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Neonatal Study Buddy, operated by Premie Insight, Inc.. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

3.1  Eligibility

To use this Platform, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Be legally capable of entering into a binding contract

  • Provide accurate and complete account information

  • Not be barred from using the Platform under applicable law

The Platform is designed for use by healthcare professionals, students, and trainees in clinical education settings. It is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3.2  User Responsibilities

By using the Platform, you agree to:

  • Use the Platform for educational purposes only

  • Keep your login credentials confidential and secure

  • Not enter PHI, patient identifiers, medical record numbers, or other protected health information

  • Respect all applicable intellectual property rights

  • Refrain from misuse, abuse, unauthorized access, or any harmful activity on the Platform

  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract Platform content or AI system logic

  • Promptly notify us if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account

Organizations providing access to the Platform through institutional licensing are responsible for ensuring their users comply with these Terms, applicable privacy regulations, and institutional policies regarding the entry of sensitive or protected information into educational software.

3.3  Subscriptions & Payments

Paid subscriptions are available for enhanced platform access.

  • Payments are processed through Stripe

AUTOMATIC RENEWAL NOTICE: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current subscription rate. You will be charged to your payment method on file unless you cancel before the renewal date. To cancel, log into your account and navigate to Subscription Settings, or contact us at PremieInsight@gmail.com.

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time before the next renewal date

  • Fees are non-refundable unless required by applicable law or expressly stated otherwise at the time of purchase

  • Premie Insight, Inc. does not store credit card numbers; all payment data is handled by Stripe's PCI-compliant systems

3.4  Institutional Access

Access to Neonatal Study Buddy may be provided through institutional or program-level licensing agreements with universities, healthcare institutions, training programs, and professional organizations.

  • Users accessing the Platform through such arrangements will be notified at account creation that their account is associated with the sponsoring organization

  • Institutional participation does not grant organizations access to private AI conversations, personal account credentials, or billing information

  • Institutions may receive limited educational analytics as described in Section 2.6 and 2.7

  • Premie Insight, Inc. is not responsible for the content of institutional access agreements entered into between users and their sponsoring organizations

3.5  AI-Generated Content

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated educational content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies

  • Content may not always reflect the most current clinical guidelines, evidence-based practices, or regulatory standards

  • AI responses are generated automatically and may vary between sessions

  • You must independently verify any clinical information before applying it in professional or patient care contexts

  • The Platform is intended solely for educational support and clinical reasoning practice; Premie Insight, Inc. expressly disclaims liability for clinical decisions made in reliance on AI-generated content

3.6  Intellectual Property

All platform materials, branding, software systems, user interface designs, educational content, and AI-generated educational outputs are owned by or licensed to Premie Insight, Inc..

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, create derivative works from, or otherwise repurpose any Platform content without prior written permission from us. Your account grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal educational purposes only.

3.7  DMCA — Copyright Infringement Policy

Premie Insight, Inc. respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. If you believe that content available on or through the Platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated Copyright Agent:

A valid DMCA notice must include: (1) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent; (2) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (3) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on the Platform; (4) your contact information; (5) a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

Counter-notifications and repeat infringer policies are available upon request.

3.8  Service Changes & Availability

Premie Insight, Inc. may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the Platform at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free availability of the Platform. We will use reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of material changes to core functionality.

3.9  Account Termination

Premie Insight, Inc. may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or otherwise misuse the Platform. Upon termination, your license to use the Platform ceases immediately.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at the email address in Section 8. Upon account deletion, we will process your data in accordance with our data retention practices described in Section 2.8.

Section 4 — Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Premie Insight, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Platform

  • Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to the Platform shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees paid by you to Premie Insight, Inc. in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim, or (b) $50.00

  • We are not liable for any clinical or professional decisions made in reliance on AI-generated educational content

  • The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation or exclusion of liability for certain types of damages. If you are located in such a jurisdiction, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

Section 5 — Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Premie Insight, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:

  • Your misuse of or unauthorized access to the Platform

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your entry of prohibited information, including PHI, into the Platform

  • Your reliance on AI-generated content in a clinical, patient care, or professional context

  • Any third-party claim arising from your use of the Platform in violation of applicable law


Section 6 — Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Westchester County, New York. You consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts and waive any objection to the laying of venue therein.

Nothing in this Section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.

Section 7 — Changes to This Policy

Premie Insight, Inc. may update these Terms and this Privacy Policy at any time. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through:

  • Email notifications to your registered address

  • In-app alerts or notices

Your continued use of the Platform following notice of material changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you should discontinue use of the Platform and may request account deletion.
